New work exploring the boundaries of creation during COVID

In late April, I premiered a new work titled "A Degree of Randomness" which looked into a creative process that pushed the "lack of control" that COVID brought to the field of dance and performing arts. All four dancers worked individually spread out in the country, solving tasks formed by myself. An algorithmic score determined the flow of the work, while giving the dancers the autonomy to make their choices in respond to the score.

The work was made possible with funding from the CAHSS DEAN COVID support for research '21-22 (UMBC).
